Betty Kataba, now the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer for Woman Member of Parliament Kanungu district, has surprised both her critics and admirers by the way she mobilises support. Few thought she could rise above strong opponents like Counsel Ester Majambere and the incumbent Hon. Patience Kinshaba, yet she did. Her journey has shown that in politics, every vote matters, and she seems determined to secure each one.

Those who follow her closely describe her as a grassroots politician who understands the language of ordinary people. Yesterday, she was the Chief Guest at the Giovanni League, an event that brought together hundreds of football lovers.

Only a few weeks ago, she was also invited by the Comboni League. Such invitations may seem small, but they reflect the trust youth groups / initiatives have placed in her. Interestingly, none of her rivals have been spotted at these community events, a gap that has given Kataba even more ground to cover.
