Aquafina Encourages Miss Universe Uganda Finalists to Build Strong Personal Brands

The top 15 finalists of the Miss Universe Uganda competition received guidance on leadership, personal branding and public responsibility after representatives from Crown Beverages visited their training camp as preparations for the national pageant continue.

The session, held at the finalists’ boot camp in Kalanoga, brought together contestants and the Crown Beverages brand team, led by Aquafina Drinking Water Brand Manager Grace Namutebi.

As the official hydration partner of Miss Universe Uganda, Aquafina used the visit to encourage the contestants to view the competition as more than a beauty pageant, emphasizing the importance of character, influence and responsible leadership.

Addressing the finalists, Namutebi challenged them to intentionally shape their personal brands and prepare for the responsibilities that come with representing Uganda on an international platform.

She encouraged the contestants to protect their online reputation, remain informed about global cultures and emerging trends, and embrace community service as an essential part of leadership.

According to Namutebi, the qualities that define a successful titleholder extend beyond the competition stage and continue long after the crown has been awarded.

The visit formed part of the finalists’ ongoing boot camp, where contestants are undergoing training designed to prepare them for the demands of the national competition and potential international representation.

Miss Universe Uganda has increasingly placed emphasis on leadership, advocacy and social impact alongside confidence and stage performance, reflecting the evolving expectations of global beauty pageants.

For Crown Beverages, the partnership with the pageant provides an opportunity to support young women as they develop skills that extend beyond the competition, including communication, professionalism and public engagement.

As preparations continue, the finalists are expected to participate in a series of mentorship sessions and practical activities aimed at equipping them to represent Uganda on the international stage should they win the national title.
