Breaking: Mwine Tumwebaze Wins Western Youth MP Election

Cheers erupted at Ntare School Stadium , Mbarara City North, as Mwine Tumwebaze was declared the winner of the Western Region Youth Member of Parliament election.
The keenly contested race , saw Tumwebaze secure the seat amid high turnout from youth delegates across the region.
Voting took place under the watchful eyes of supporters and observers, with the historic Ntare School venue once again serving as a focal point for political activity in Western Uganda.
Tumwebaze, widely recognized as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer following his earlier primary victory, defeated a lineup of independents in today’s poll.
His campaign focused on protecting NRM gains, promoting peace, unity, and youth development, resonating strongly with delegates who rallied under slogans like “defend the flag” and calls to “choose wisely.”
Local NRM youth leaders, including voices from Mbarara, expressed confidence in Tumwebaze’s ability to represent Western youth interests in Parliament.
Despite the controversies, Tumwebaze’s declaration as winner marked a decisive moment, positioning him to carry the Western Region’s voice into the national youth representation framework,
