Watch Solanke’s Unreal Scorpion Kick as Spurs Stun Man City in Dramatic Comeback

It looked like the game was over. Manchester City were leading 2-0 and cruising. But then, Dominic Solanke did something unbelievable.

The Tottenham striker scored a wild “scorpion kick” to rescue a 2-2 draw for his team on Sunday. While Spurs fans celebrated the amazing comeback, the result is actually great news for their biggest rivals, Arsenal. Because City dropped two points, Arsenal is now sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League with a six-point lead.

City start strong
For the first 45 minutes, it was all Manchester City. They looked like champions. Rayan Cherki opened the scoring early in the 11th minute with a hard, low shot into the corner.

Just before halftime, things got worse for Tottenham. A messy pass from defense gave the ball to City, and Antoine Semenyo finished calmly to make it 2-0. The Spurs fans were furious, booing their own players as they walked off the pitch.

The fight back
Spurs manager Thomas Frank must have said something inspiring in the locker room, because his team came out fighting. Early in the second half, Solanke poked in a close-range goal to give them hope.

Then came the moment of magic in the 70th minute.

Conor Gallagher crossed the ball into the box, but it was slightly behind Solanke. Most players wouldn’t have been able to reach it. Instead, Solanke threw his body forward and flicked the ball with his heels over his own head.

It flew right over City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and into the net. It was the kind of goal you usually only see in video games.

Title race trouble
For Pep Guardiola and City, this is a disaster. They have only won one of their last six league games. They controlled the match but fell apart when it mattered.

For Tottenham, it was a lucky escape. But for Arsenal fans watching at home, Solanke’s goal was the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
