Ugandan dancehall artist Rabadaba has dismissed social media claims that he played a role in the circumstances surrounding the death of his former wife, Maggie Kiweesi, urging the public to stop spreading what he described as false narratives.

In a video shared on TikTok, the UK-based singer responded to online speculation that resurfaced following Kiweesi’s death. Some social media users had alleged that their past relationship contributed to her emotional struggles after she reportedly returned to Uganda from the United Kingdom.
Rabadaba denied the allegations, saying he and Kiweesi had ended their relationship in 2022 and had each moved on with their lives. He explained that although they remained in contact for some time and occasionally met during her visits to the UK, he later stopped communicating with her after learning that she had remarried.
The singer also disputed reports that Kiweesi had been deported from the United Kingdom. According to him, she chose to remain in Uganda after losing her accommodation in the UK, saying frequent travel between the two countries had become financially difficult.
He further rejected claims that Kiweesi had been battling depression before her death, insisting that she appeared happy and content with her life and relationship.
Rabadaba also criticized a UK-based blogger whom he accused of spreading inaccurate information about his relationship with Kiweesi. He said the claims circulating online were fabricated and had fueled unnecessary speculation.
Speaking about the end of their marriage, Rabadaba said disagreements over his desire to play an active role in the lives of their children became a major source of conflict. He said he was unwilling to compromise on being present for his children, which ultimately contributed to the breakdown of the relationship.
The artist also denied having any involvement in Kiweesi’s reported immigration matters, saying attempts to connect him to those issues were unfounded.
He concluded by appealing to the public to allow his former wife to rest in peace and to avoid spreading unverified claims that could cause further pain to those close to her.
The exact circumstances surrounding Kiweesi’s death have not been publicly detailed, and the allegations circulating online remain unverified.
