KANUNGU: New Classroom Block Commissioned at Bukorwe Primary School

KANUNGU –  The Deputy Resident District Commissioner of Kanungu District, Catherine Kabonge, on Thursday joined Deputy LC5 Chairperson Joshua Rukundo, Principal Education Officer Shallot Nyirazirikana and other district stakeholders to officially commission a new classroom block at Bukorwe Primary School.

The classroom block, constructed at a cost of 100 million Ugandan shillings, is expected to improve the learning environment and help address classroom congestion at the school.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Rukundo Joshua expressed gratitude that the project had been successfully completed and handed over for use. He noted that he had actively lobbied for the project and pledged to continue supporting the school and the education sector in the district.

The district also pledged to provide classroom furniture to ensure the new facility is fully equipped for learners.

Kabonge Catherine commended the district leadership, education officials and the school community for their efforts.

The Principal Education Officer, Shallot Nyirazirikana, urged learners and the community to take good care of the new facility.

The school’s head teacher thanked the district leadership for the support in securing and completing the project.

“We are grateful to the district leadership for the commitment to improving education at Bukorwe Primary School,” the head teacher said.

“This classroom block will greatly improve the learning conditions for our pupils and help us provide a better educational experience. We pledge to ensure the facility is well maintained.”

The new classroom block is now officially ready for use by pupils.
